What Shall We Do With Jesus?
Luke 23:48-49

Thesis: To examine what response Christians should have to the cross.

Introduction:
1. We know about Jesus’ sufferings.
2. What shall we do with him?

Discussion:
Jesus wants us to...

I. Remember his death.
We are to remember the Lord’s death (1 Cor. 11:24-26) on the Lord Day (Rev. 1:10) with
the Lord’s Supper (Mt. 26:29).

II. Remember his unique death.
The cross shows the true message—love (Jn. 3:16).

III. Share our conviction with others.
Our main focus should be Jesus (1 Cor. 1:24-25; 2:1ff).

IV. Boast in the cross (Gal. 6:14-15).
Jesus over talents, money, looks, accolades & family.

V. Use the cross in our lives.
A cross and a throne are set before us all. Upon which do we place Jesus and upon which
do we place our lives? (Gal. 2:20)

Conclusion:
1. Jesus wants us to put him first.
2. Examine yourselves to ensure complete surrender.
